What: Policy experts from leading policy research organizations and local industry experts will outline the economic and policy impact of drug reimportation and imposing price controls on prescription drugs. They will discuss why importing drugs from other countries puts patients at risk. And elected officials will explain why price controls and importation create more problems than they solve.

Why: Access and affordability of prescription drugs are two of the biggest hot-button issues for state and federal lawmakers. Are price controls, either imposed or imported, the answer?  Or would they destroy R&D and cost jobs? And are imported drugs really safe? Come hear what health policy experts and elected officials have to say about these critical issues.
