Larry Hogan To Join Maryland Public Policy Institute Board of Directors

ROCKVILLE, MD-The Maryland Public Policy Institute, a public policy organization that focuses on Maryland issues, has announced that Lawrence J. Hogan, Jr. will join its board of directors.

"With his many years in the private sector as a successful business owner practicing many of the sound free-market policy prescriptions that the Maryland Public Policy Institute advocates, Larry will prove invaluable in helping the Maryland Public Policy Institute promote its message of free enterprise, limited government, and civil society in Maryland," said Christopher B. Summers, the think tank's president. "We're very pleased that he will be adding his talents and experience to our distinguished Board of Directors."

Mr. Hogan is the Founder, President and CEO of the Hogan Companies in Annapolis, a diverse group of companies all committed to excellence in real estate services.   In addition to his considerable accomplishments in business, Mr. Hogan has a decade of public service experience at the federal, state, and local level.  Most recently he served a four-year term in the State Cabinet, as Maryland's Secretary of Appointments.

Mr. Hogan is a graduate of Florida State University.  He lives in Annapolis with his wife, Yumi. They have three daughters and are active in many volunteer civic and charitable organizations.  

The Maryland Public Policy Institute is a 501 (C) (3) nonpartisan public policy research and education organization that focuses on Maryland public policy issues.
