Gabriel J. Michael

Senior Fellow

A native of Anne Arundel County, Gabriel attended college at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Government and Politics. He then completed a master's degree in religion at Yale. Currently, he is working towards a Ph.D. in political science at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with the support of a graduate fellowship in policy studies.

Gabriel joined the Maryland Public Policy Institute staff in 2008, and has since written about a number of topics, including state fiscal policy, government transparency, and public sector retirement and pension benefits. His academic interests include political economy, trade policy, and intellectual property policy.
