Transportation - Reports

Freedom of movement can strengthen businesses, empower families and encourage better use of taxpayer money.  The Institute’s key recommendations for improving transportation are:

  1. Create a performance-based system to select transportation projects based on their contribution to congestion relief.
  2. Develop public-private partnerships to develop and operate major infrastructure projects.
  3. Prioritize lower-cost, higher-impact transit options for urban areas.
  4. Incentivize telecommuting and other environmentally beneficial solutions.

Through the Maryland Policy Forum, the Institute holds public forums to shed light on Maryland’s transportation challenges and opportunities.
