The news that Maryland's personal income rose while it fell in all but five other states and Washington, D.C. reminds me of Matt Taibbi's description of Goldman Sach's in Rolling Stone asa "great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity." The only reason Maryland incomes rose was by sucking dry the the tax dollars from every other state in the form of high paying federal government jobs.
